Standard Quartz Clock Movement/Motors are made in North America by TAKANE. Mfr Q-11.They run on one ‘AA’ battery and are accurate to within two minutes a year. Standard movement size is 2-1/8″x2-1/8″x5/8″ thick.Fits 3″diameter hole or flush mount.Ok for outdoor use if sheltered from the rain.
When determining what size you need, measure the thickness of the clock material that the shaft must pass through, allowing for an extra 1/8″ of threaded shaft for the mounting hardware.The shaft diameter on this movement is 5/16″.
Our standard clock motors will drive hands up to 4-1/2″, long which means you can make a clock up to 12″ in diameter.For larger hands a High Torque movement is required.The minute hand must have a flattened oval (with straight long sides) to fit our motors minute hands with round centers will not work.All the hands we sell are designed to fit these motors.
This movement has a threaded shaft length of 1/8″, and a total shaft length of 17/32″.
Clock movements are not returnable once the package is opened.
