Woodland Scenics makes amazingly realistic scenery accents and materials for model railroad layouts, as well as creating kits and instructional tools for making your own.The SubTerrain System uses Risers to elevate track, causing surrounding areas to be lower.This allows you to quickly and easily make low-lying scenery areas like creeks, without having to cut into the layout base.Generally 2″ Risers should be used to elevate track, while 1/2″ and 1″ Risers are used with Incline Starters to create varying grades.Riser 1″ x 24″(Mfr. ST1407) has 4 pieces of lightweight styrofoam, each measuring 2 1/2″ wide x 24″ long.
